However, don't forget the other little gems within the central Florida area. Just down the road is World of Orchids, while further afield Daytona Beach, Kennedy Space Center and Merritt Island are all worthy of a pleasant day trip.

Not only that, but a wide variety of shopping opportunities are within easy reach. From the chain store favourites like WalMart, K-Mart, Target and Sears, to outlet malls and everything in between, will you find a bargain?

For those who like something different, nearby Bartow is Polk County's capital. Old Town Kissimmee is also within easy reach.

Sunridge Woods is also situated less than five minutes from the Champions Gate golf complex, with a Chili's restaurant and Publix supermarket. The Omni Champions Gate hotel also has a Hertz rent-a-car desk.

The villa is also situated less than 25 minutes away from the popular Orange County Convention Center.

Don't neglect to look at the wildlife on your very doorstep though. It's not only humans attracted to the lake - a whole variety of local wildlife also make Sunridge Woods their home, including sand cranes (pictured), turtles and turkey buzzards. Both man and animal agree, the area around our villa is certainly worth a stay.
